The chef's at American Grocery Restaurant in Greenville's West End have been invited to cook at the James Beard House in New York City. David Sundeen, Susan Dumeyer, and Joe Clarke, who collaborate in the kitchen at American Grocery will be cooking the Beard dinner on June 18th at the foundation townhouse where James Beard lived the last 12 years of his life.   • James Beard Dinner at AGR
  • The American Grocery team will be preparing the same dinner they will cook in New York next month at the James Beard House. The dinner will be a private/ reservation only event featuring local pastured pork producer Emile DeFelice and heirloom tomato/vegetable guru, Jeff Isbell.

    The dinner, A Culinary Exploration of the Pig, will highlight Emile's pork, Jeff's vegetables and other South Carolina products. The cost of the four-courses dinner with wine pairings will be $100 per person, not including tax and gratuity.
