In many ways this 6-ounce can is similar to the Wild Planet Salmon, but it doesn't quite match up.

Pros:

One of the aspects which immediately stands out regarding this salmon is that it is wild Alaskan salmon, which, as we have said, renders the highest quality and the tastiest flavor.

Being wild, it is non-GMO as well as kosher and gluten free. These qualities make it safe and enjoyable for everyone to eat and ensure that you are getting a healthy option.

Crown Prince Salmon is also low in fat, having only 1 gram per 55 grams of fish. It boasts 13 grams of protein per serving and contains a significant amount of Omega 3. With only 60 calories in each serving, you can enjoy the nutrients without the guilt.

What is more, when you buy this salmon, you are getting just that and no fillers. The only addition is salt, which can, it is true, present a downside, but which does much to bring out the flavor of the fish.

Nutritionally, this 6-ounce can runs close to the other varieties on our list. With 1.5 grams of fat and 12 grams of protein per 56-gram serving, it easily makes the cut as a low-fat, high-protein food.

It also contains a decent quantity of calcium, which is surprising compared to other skinless and boneless options.

About 4% of the daily value is in each serving, but there is not a significant amount of iron or vitamin A in this fish.

With a non-fishy, delightful flavor, you are getting both a delicious food and a nutritious choice.

Like all other high-quality salmon, this fish is a significant source of Omega 3, having 410 milligrams per serving.

Cons:

This salmon unfortunately contains salt, as do so many others. The sodium content is 230 milligrams per serving, which pushes it to rank among the highest in this respect.

Origin

An important thing to keep in mind when buying salmon is its origin.Some salmon is caught wild, while others are farmed.
